KHURPATAL LAKE is also known as the 'mysterious lake'. Sometimes this lake changes its color throughout the year. The local people believe that the color of this lake gives an indication of the future, such as light red color, a sign of impending disaster.In the month of March, its color becomes dhani, which according to the people here is a symbol of prosperity. In the month of March-April, flowers of pines fall here, due to which there is a slight change in the color of the lake. Green color is also felt in it due to the shadow of the trees. Although there are many beliefs behind these colors, but there is also a scientific fact behind it. Actually there are about 35 to 40 types of algae i.e. species of algae present inside the lake. When the algae leaves the seed, different colors appear in it due to the rays of the sun.A
